“The threesome navigated through a wider landscape of sound with meandering lyrical passages, encircling eerie plateaus and sudden about- turns into wild abysses triggering raucous rides and accumulation of sound that went hazy and eventually dissolved, giving leeway to bouncing, hard hitting maneuvers.”
-HENNING BOLTE, All About Jazz 2016
Using a graphical score, stock and prerecorded material, and live processing, “All Caps No Space” explores the amplified solitude we experience within the barrage of information that besieges us through the medias. The creation of the work is motivated by the desire to give a voice to our individual experiences as we witness the world’s tragedies, specifically captured in the written and still images of daily media.
Three live musicians perform live and interact with a table that projects live video onto a large screen.
The experience is visceral, lyrical and political.
